Helping those in Need

  1. Echo Centre

Users of the Echo Centre, Liskeard are looking forward to using the latest technology having been donated two Ipads from South West Hygiene.
Echo is a resource for adults with a physical disability serving South East Cornwall. The small staff team and band of dedicated volunteers work closely together with the users of Echo to raise confidence and self-esteem through physical and mental stimulation. The aim is to promote independence, provide a carer break and encourage those who attend to lead a fulfilled life.
The touch screen devices will enable people with limited dexterity to be able to access the internet, use applications that will aid speech and language, take photos and much more. Paul Davies the Managing Director of South West Hygiene is full of praise for the Echo Centre saying ‘It is a really great place which allows individuals to continue to lead a fun and active life despite their disability’.
